Pumpkin Patch

In October, our preschool children enjoyed a special autumn adventure with a visit to Charleton Farm’s pumpkin patch. The children were delighted to wander through the field, choosing their very own pumpkins to take back to nursery.

As they explored the environment around them, they discovered the changing colours of the season, crunched through fallen leaves, and asked lots of curious questions about how pumpkins grow. The visit offered rich opportunities for learning—building independence as they selected their pumpkins, developing language as they discussed with friends and teachers, and nurturing a love of nature through hands-on discovery.

This was a lovely experience for the children to take part in to further explore the community and the world around us.
