Intergenerational Care
June 3, 2019
At Rompers we value working alongside our local community and for children we understanding the benefits to spending time with the older generation. Regularly children from the Pre-School room spend time at the Adam Center taking part in games, drawing and reading stories. This is an excellent opportunity for children to develop social skills, working alongside the ladies and gentlemen. Some members of the Adam Center at times come into Rompers to take part on SongShop and Yoga with the children and enjoy being a part of nursery life. We know from research that this intergenerational care can support loneliness and levels of physical ability within the older generations.
