First Aid Refresher
In February and March, most staff completed their Paediatric First Aid training to refresh knowledge and practice. This allowed staff to ensure they are well-equipped to respond effectively in the event of an emergency. The course covered a wide range of critical skills, including how to manage choking, perform CPR, and recognise the signs of common childhood illnesses. This interactive session was extremely beneficial, as it enabled staff to build confidence in how to respond during a first aid incident. As a result of the training, staff have demonstrated increased awareness and quicker response times during minor incidents, with more consistent application of first aid procedures across the team. It has also led to improved communication and teamwork in emergency situations. By undertaking this training, staff are not only enhancing their ability to provide immediate care but also reinforcing our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the children.
